Nov.5   Baghdad     Saddam Hussein sentenced to death
  The former Iraqi leader has been convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death by hanging
 Saddam was convicted over the killing of 148 people in the Shia town of Dujail in 1982. His half-brother and former chief judge were also sentenced to death. Former ViP Ramadan got life in jail. 3 others received 15-year prison terms. Baath party official Mohammed Azawi Ali was acquitted. The verdict sparked celebration in Baghdad and protests in Tikrit
