  Kabul     President flees ceremony attack
  Hamid Karzai and other quickly scrambled toward safety when the sound of gunfire and explosions interrupted a military ceremony
 Security forces whisked Karzai away from the scene and hundreds of people fled as shots rang out. He and other dignitaries were safe. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack which happened at a Mujahideen Day ceremony to mark 16 years since the overthrow of the country's Soviet-backed rule
